Chryssa Damianidou's first exhibition took place in the Municipal Gallery of the island of Mykonos. Her main source of inspiration was the "woman-queen" as an eternal symbol in the realm of the real as well as of the mythical world.
This concept is portrayed in the "Snow Queen" who inspired the creation of the necklace "Made for the Snow Queen" which appears on the opening poster of the exhibition. This specific piece of jewellery embraces the artist's attempt to describe the feeling of cold beauty, power and female domination. This feeling is enhanced by the careful selection of appropriate materials and semi-precious stones. The jewel "Made for the Snow Queen" has been included in an exhibition by Alba Cappelieri (Professor of Jewellery Design, Politecnico di Milano).
